Things were very quiet during the `lock down` but have now slowly come to life. The following is an update on current development activity around our village.
-The development of 69 homes on the site at Skylark Place, opposite the village hall, in now complete.
-The Bellway development of 94 homes on the Little Acres site, off St. Georges Road, is progressing and will be completed sometime in mid/late 2021.
-The adjacent site at Waverley Folly, off St. Georges Road, has outline planning permission for 23 homes.
-The application for 140 homes opposite Swiftsure, along Lower Weybourne Lane, was refused by Waverley BC and has now gone to Appeal.
-The development of 105 homes by Taylor Wimpey along Green Lane, off Lower Weybourne Lane has begun.
-Work has just begun at the southern end of Green Lane to provide 43 homes.
-The adjacent field along Green Lane, opposite the cemetery and currently a car park, was refused permission for 50 homes and has now gone to Appeal.
-An application for 5 homes off Crown Lane is currently with Waverley BC , a decision is imminent.
Neither of the sites currently going through the Appeal process are included in the Farnham Neighbourhood Plan (FNP). Both should be rejected as the FNP has identified more than sufficient sites for local housing need up to the year 2032.
